Occupational Therapist School Setting in Tempe, AZ

Qualifications and Preferred Experience:

• Active Occupational Therapy license and credentials
• Experience providing OT services in school-based settings
• Ability to manage diverse caseloads in schools, home health, or teletherapy environments
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, working effectively with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams
• Proficiency in conducting assessments, developing individualized treatment plans, and documenting progress
• Adaptability and resourcefulness when using various therapeutic techniques and digital tools for teletherapy

Primary Responsibilities:

• Evaluate students and develop tailored intervention plans to meet functional, academic, and developmental goals
• Provide therapy one-on-one, in groups, or virtually, based on student needs
• Document and track student progress, keeping accurate and timely records
• Collaborate with teaching staff, families, and other service providers to optimize student support
• Participate in IEP meetings, sharing OT insights and recommendations to create well-rounded student plans
• Offer guidance and training to school personnel and caregivers to reinforce therapy strategies
