Step into a rewarding role supporting student development as a school-based Occupational Therapist for the upcoming academic year in the vibrant North Denver area. This contract assignment offers the chance to make a meaningful impact across two elementary schools, one middle school, as well as provide support to homebound students. With a balanced allocation model in place, workloads reflect the specialized needs of each site, ensuring manageable and equitable caseloads.

Key Qualifications:

  • Active Colorado OT license required
  • Colorado Department of Education (DOE) license
  • Up-to-date DORA certification
  • Experience working in school settings or with pediatric/intervention populations preferred
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills
  • Ability to travel between multiple campuses (itinerant role)

Responsibilities Include:

  • Delivering direct and indirect occupational therapy services to a caseload generally ranging from 40-60 students
  • Supporting students from preschool to middle school and homebound settings
  • Collaborating closely with educational teams, families, and school staff to develop and implement IEP goals
  • Attending and participating in meetings, evaluations, and team planning sessions
  • Completing timely documentation and maintaining compliance with state and district policies
  • Participating in mandatory Summer Symposium New Hire Orientation July 27-31, with work sites beginning August 3rd and students starting August 11th

This 0.8 FTE itinerant position offers flexible scheduling options, allowing service minutes to be spread over five shorter days or four full days per week.
