Step into a rewarding opportunity as an Occupational Therapist supporting students for the remainder of the school year. This contract position is based near Thousand Oaks, CA, and is designed to provide immediate coverage as a backfill role. You'll play a pivotal part in helping students achieve their academic and functional goals, collaborating alongside educators and families.
Key Qualifications:
- Active OT license in California
- Previous experience serving pediatric or school-aged populations
- Strong understanding of IEP development and execution
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Ability to adapt to diverse student needs and educational environments
- Commitment to supporting student progress and wellness
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver therapy services according to students’ IEP requirements
- Assess students’ needs to develop measurable therapy goals
- Collaborate with teachers, school staff, and parents to promote optimal outcomes
- Monitor and document student progress, maintaining compliance with school and state guidelines
- Provide recommendations for classroom modifications and tools to promote participation
- Participate in meetings, training, and consultations as needed
