A full-semester contract opportunity is available for a skilled COTA or Occupational Therapist to support K-12 students in Tijeras, NM. This role involves providing occupational therapy services to an estimated caseload of 35-40 students across elementary and middle school levels, with assignments tentatively divided between one middle school and two elementary schools. The position requires on-site presence, aligning with district priorities to ensure hands-on support for student development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver occupational therapy services to students within elementary and middle school settings.
  • Collaborate with educators and support staff to design and implement individualized treatment plans.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports in compliance with school and licensing policies.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to the multidisciplinary approach to student care.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Current certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) or Occupational Therapist (OT).
  • Experience working in school settings is preferred.
  • Ability to obtain or hold an active New Mexico RLD license and New Mexico Public Education Department (NMPED) license.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills to manage a caseload effectively.
  • Commitment to providing direct, on-site services; virtual options are not supported for this assignment.

Work Schedule and Location:

  • 30 hours per week.
  • Tijeras, New Mexico, serving elementary and middle school students.
