Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Active Occupational Therapy license in Arizona (or eligibility to obtain)
- Previous experience in school-based settings preferred, though not required
- Ability to assess and address student needs across varying abilities
- Strong understanding of IEP documentation and development
- Effective communication and collaboration skills with diverse teams
- Adaptability to meet changing student and school needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct and consultative occupational therapy services to students, focusing on fostering independence and participation within the school environment
- Conduct thorough evaluations using standardized and informal assessments to guide therapeutic planning
- Develop and implement IEP goals, working closely with educators, families, and other service providers
- Deliver interventions that address fine motor, sensory, self-care, and adaptive skills
- Monitor student progress, document outcomes, and adjust strategies as needed
- Take part in team meetings, parent conferences, and professional development activities
- Maintain accurate, timely records in compliance with district, state, and federal requirements
