Step into a rewarding contract opportunity as an Occupational Therapist serving elementary students throughout the academic year, conveniently located near Topeka, KS. The assignment runs from approximately August 6, 2026, to May 26, 2027, with a weekly commitment of 35–40 hours and a caseload that may vary throughout the year. You’ll primarily work with elementary grade levels, supporting students in their academic and developmental growth.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Current Occupational Therapist (OT) license for the state of Kansas
  • Current CPR certification
  • Previous experience in school-based OT or pediatrics is highly desirable
  • Strong understanding of best practices for serving student needs in educational settings
  • Familiarity with Medicaid billing is a plus
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach with educational staff, students, and families

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver occupational therapy services to students as outlined in IEPs
  • Conduct evaluations and develop individualized intervention plans
  • Document progress and maintain detailed service logs in compliance with school and Medicaid requirements
  • Participate in IEP meetings and work closely with multidisciplinary teams
  • Provide recommendations for classroom accommodations and modifications
