Qualifications and Experience:
- Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy (OT) is required
- Active OT license in the state of California
- Proven experience or familiarity with school-based OT practices
- Comfort with education-related terminology, standardized assessments, and the Special Education process
- Ability to adapt to varied caseloads across multiple schools (itinerant assignments possible)
- Confidence in working with limited supervision and exercising professional judgment
- Excellent communication and organization skills
Role Responsibilities:
- Deliver OT services to students ranging from kindergarten through 12th grade
- Conduct thorough evaluations and develop individualized plans to support student success
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to ensure cohesive support
- Interpret assessment results and contribute to IEP meetings
- Maintain clear documentation to support student progress and adherence to guidelines
- Support educational teams by integrating OT strategies into classroom routines
