Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students across K-12 grades in an on-site, school-based setting near Torrance, CA. We're seeking motivated Occupational Therapists who are committed to making a positive impact in educational environments. Your expertise will help students reach their full potential as you collaborate with educators, families, and multi-disciplinary teams. Assignments may be itinerant and will include varying caseloads throughout the academic year.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Active Occupational Therapist license issued by the state of California
- Previous exposure to school-based OT services or fieldwork in educational settings
- Familiarity with standardized assessments, educational terminology, and the Special Education process
- Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Comfort working with diverse K-12 student populations
- Ability to travel between school sites as assigned
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide occupational therapy services to students from kindergarten through high school, supporting their participation in school routines
- Develop and implement individualized intervention plans and document progress
- Evaluate and use standardized assessments in alignment with district protocols
- Collaborate with teachers, special educators, and families to support student success
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the multidisciplinary special education process
- Adapt services to each school’s needs as assignments vary
This contract is full-time, running from August 11, 2026, through June 4, 2027. VOCO assignments are strictly on-site, offering the chance to engage directly with students and teams.
