Services are required six times a month, with each session lasting 25 minutes—allowing you to make a real impact while working a flexible schedule.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist (OT) in New Jersey
- Previous experience in school-based OT, home health, or pediatric OT preferred
- Familiarity with developing and implementing IEP goals
- Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, families, and other service providers
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct occupational therapy services to students according to their IEPs
- Deliver individualized and small group sessions with a frequency of six times per month, 25 minutes per session
- Assess students’ needs and contribute to the development of measurable goals
- Document session outcomes, progress, and ongoing interventions thoroughly
- Consult with teachers, parents, and education team members regarding student progress and strategies
- Support students’ development of fine motor, sensory-processing, and adaptive skills tailored to the school setting
