Occupational Therapist School Setting in Triangle, VA

Key Qualifications:

• Active Virginia Occupational Therapy License required
• Demonstrated experience in school-based OT preferred
• Thorough understanding of providing both direct and consultative OT services to students
• Willingness to initiate credentialing immediately, including the VA Department of Social Services background check and TB test
• Excellent communication, organization, and collaboration skills

Essential Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct occupational therapy services to approximately 10 students, with consultative responsibilities for another 15, totaling a caseload of 25
• Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to develop and implement effective strategies for student participation and success
• Conduct evaluations as necessary throughout the school year
• Maintain timely and accurate documentation according to district requirements
• Adapt interventions and strategies to meet the diverse needs of middle school student populations
• Attend meetings and work alongside the program director and Lead OT, especially during interviews and onboarding
