Key Qualifications:

  • Valid and current Alabama-specific Occupational Therapy certification or license (documentation will be required)
  • Prior experience working as a school-based Occupational Therapist is highly desirable
  • Ability to effectively collaborate with other OTs and educational staff
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Commitment to working on-site; remote work is not available for this assignment

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide occupational therapy services to students according to individualized education plans
  • Evaluate students’ needs and develop tailored treatment plans
  • Maintain thorough and compliant documentation of services and student progress
  • Participate in meetings and contribute expertise to student support teams
  • Communicate regularly with faculty, families, and other district OTs to ensure coordinated and high-quality care
