Step into an engaging opportunity to support students’ growth and success as a school-based Occupational Therapist for the 2026-2027 school year. In this contract position, you’ll deliver vital OT services to a diverse student population spanning kindergarten through 12th grade. With a schedule of 37.5 hours per week, you’ll provide expertise across two welcoming school environments, including some self-contained classrooms.

Alongside your direct student work, you’ll offer professional supervision to two talented Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs), collaborating to maximize positive outcomes for learners with varying needs. As you develop and implement individualized plans, your insight and knowledge will empower students to achieve greater independence, improved participation, and success in their educational settings.

Key Qualifications:

  • Valid state OT license (or eligibility for licensure)
  • Experience working as an OT in school-based settings
  • Comfort and proficiency in serving students from K through 12th grade
  • Previous experience supervising COTAs preferred
  • Strong understanding of IEP documentation, goal-setting, and intervention planning
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct OT services as outlined in students’ IEPs
  • Design and adapt activities to support academic and functional skills for diverse learners
  • Supervise and mentor two COTAs to ensure high-quality service delivery
  • Conduct screenings, assessments, and ongoing monitoring of student progress
  • Collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Deliver services across two school sites, including work within some self-contained classrooms
  • Maintain accurate, timely documentation and participate in IEP meetings
