Key qualifications and desired experience:

  • Current and valid Occupational Therapist license in California
  • Experience or interest in working with school-aged children and adolescents
  • Strong understanding of IEP process and ability to document progress effectively
  • Excellent communication skills, able to build rapport with students, staff, and families
  • Ability to think creatively in developing interventions and adapt strategies as needed
  • Reliable, collaborative, and able to manage caseloads efficiently

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting assessments to identify student needs and participation barriers
  • Designing and implementing targeted interventions to foster independence within the academic setting
  • Collaborating with teachers, staff, and families on strategies for student progress
  • Contributing to IEP meetings as an active team member
  • Maintaining thorough and timely records in accordance with state and federal guidelines
  • Promoting inclusion and supporting students’ functional participation in daily school routines
