Qualifications:

  • Current Occupational Therapist (OT) license in California or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) credential with relevant experience
  • Hands-on pediatric or school-based experience (preferred)
  • Ability to work effectively with students of diverse backgrounds and needs
  • Comfortable collaborating with educational teams, parents, and support staff
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Commitment to delivering compassionate, student-centered care

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess students’ needs and develop appropriate therapy plans
  • Provide direct occupational therapy (or assist OT services if COTA) to help students improve fine motor, sensory, and self-help skills
  • Document student progress and maintain detailed records
  • Collaborate with teachers and families to ensure a coordinated approach to intervention
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to individualized educational planning
  • Support positive classroom engagement and student independence
