You’ll play a key leadership role by not only supporting students directly, but also by supervising dedicated COTAs, collaborating with educators, and helping students reach their fullest potential.

Key qualifications:

• Hold an active New Mexico OT license (NMRLD) and obtain NMPED certification by start date (the NMPED process is efficient if you get started promptly)
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
• School-based OT experience preferred
• Willingness to travel between sites within the district
• Able to supervise and provide guidance to COTAs
• Strong communication and organizational skills

Primary responsibilities:

• Provide direct occupational therapy services to students, addressing their unique needs and supporting individualized education plans
• Supervise and serve as a resource for COTAs at multiple school sites
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including teachers, parents, and administration
• Travel between school locations within the district, working with students from elementary to high school
• Maintain thorough documentation and uphold compliance with state and federal guidelines

Schedule and details:

• Full-time, onsite only
• 40 hours per week for the full school year
