Qualifications:
- Valid state licensure as an Occupational Therapist (OT)
- Previous experience in a school setting preferred
- Knowledge of school-based therapy documentation, IEPs, and related services
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to collaborate within a multidisciplinary team
- Compassionate, organized, and adaptable to varied student needs
- Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
Responsibilities:
- Conduct evaluations and assessments for students referred for OT services
- Create, maintain, and monitor individualized treatment plans and goals
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and other specialists to support students’ academic and functional success
- Provide direct and consultative occupational therapy services within school settings
- Participate in IEP meetings, delivering professional recommendations and input
- Maintain thorough records in compliance with district and federal guidelines
- Educate staff and families on strategies to integrate therapy into the classroom and at home
