Step into a dynamic role supporting K-12 students as a contract Occupational Therapist for the upcoming school year. Serving students across both elementary and secondary levels, you'll collaborate with educators and families to provide a comprehensive approach to student wellness and achievement.
Ideal candidates will demonstrate strong experience in school-based settings, as well as familiarity with home health, teletherapy, and a variety of healthcare contexts. You'll utilize a flexible, student-centered approach to deliver effective interventions, adapting to different modalities and age groups as needed.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid and current Occupational Therapist license
- Experience working across K-12 school environments
- Background in home health, teletherapy, and healthcare OT settings
- Comfortable using digital platforms for documentation and teletherapy
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and staff
- Ability to adapt therapy techniques to a diverse student population
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide direct occupational therapy to students in alignment with IEP/504 plans
- Assess and document student progress, updating goals and strategies as needed
- Collaborate with educators, specialists, and families to develop student-centered plans
- Deliver support via in-person and virtual means, as appropriate
- Offer consultation and training to staff and parents when necessary
- Maintain compliance with regulations and timely recordkeeping requirements
