School Occupational Therapist - Vallejo, California

Qualifications and Desired Background:

• Valid California Occupational Therapist license (or eligibility for licensure)
• Experience or internship in a school setting preferred
• Strong communication and organizational abilities
• Able to develop and implement IEP goals and collaborate in child-centered teams
• Knowledge of sensory processing, fine/gross motor skills, and adaptive strategies

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct OT services to students as outlined in IEPs and 504 plans
• Conduct assessments, write reports, and participate in eligibility meetings
• Document progress, maintain detailed records, and communicate with families and staff
• Consult with teachers and contribute to modifications and accommodations in the classroom environment
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and staff trainings
