Occupational Therapist School Setting - Van Nuys, CA

Step into a contract opportunity as an Occupational Therapist, supporting a dynamic school environment near Van Nuys, CA. This OT backfill position is designed to ensure continuity of care and an enriching learning experience for students through the remainder of the school year. You’ll work an 8-hour day alongside a dedicated educational team passionate about student success.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Valid Occupational Therapist license in California
• Previous experience in a school-based setting preferred
• Strong understanding of IEP processes and documentation
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to adapt therapy plans for diverse student populations
• Must be able to start promptly and commit through the school year

Responsibilities:

• Deliver tailored occupational therapy services to students in accordance with IEP goals
• Conduct assessments, write progress notes, and collaborate on IEP teams
• Partner with teachers, aides, and families to create supportive classroom strategies
• Engage students with creative, evidence-based interventions
• Maintain detailed and timely documentation
• Participate in required meetings and provide consultative support to school staff
