Desired Skills & Experience:
- Valid Occupational Therapist license in Washington (or eligibility to obtain)
- Previous pediatric and/or school-based OT experience highly preferred
- Familiarity with IEP processes and documentation standards
- Strong communication, advocacy, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, families, and other professionals
- Commitment to evidence-based interventions and student-centered care
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess students’ functional abilities and sensory needs within the school environment
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized therapy plans as part of the IEP team
- Deliver direct and consultative occupational therapy services to students
- Maintain accurate records and thorough progress reports for compliance
- Participate in team meetings, conferences, and parent consultations
- Recommend and facilitate adaptive equipment and modifications as needed
- Foster an inclusive, supportive atmosphere conducive to student development
