Embark on a rewarding opportunity supporting students as a contract Occupational Therapist working with a diverse population across 1-2 school sites near Verdi, NV. Through the school year, you'll help foster growth in both elementary and secondary students with a manageable caseload of 50-55. Gain experience working full time (37.5 hours/week) in a collaborative, supportive educational setting.

Preferred candidates will demonstrate expertise in school-based occupational therapy, including direct therapy sessions, assessments, and participation in evaluations. Your insight will be valued as you contribute to IEP processes, utilizing the district’s system with available training. The workload model enables focused intervention, ensuring students receive the support they need for success in the classroom and beyond.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Valid Occupational Therapy license in Nevada
  • Prior work in schools or pediatric settings preferred
  • Understanding of therapy, assessment, and documentation best practices
  • Flexibility to work between 1-2 sites as needed
  • Ability to work independently but thrive as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Strong organizational skills for managing caseload and indirect duties
  • Willingness to participate in training on district IEP and documentation systems

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver occupational therapy to students of varying ages and needs
  • Conduct accurate assessments, write reports, and attend IEP meetings
  • Collaborate with staff, families, and other service providers
  • Maintain thorough documentation and participate in ongoing professional development
  • Adapt interventions to a caseload model, supporting a mix of students
