Key Qualifications:

  • Valid and current Occupational Therapist credentials
  • Demonstrated experience working in school settings, with direct knowledge of IEP processes
  • Comfortable managing a caseload (current assignment involves 43 students)
  • Skilled in delivering OT interventions tailored to high school students
  • Familiarity with both mild and moderate needs within a school environment
  • Excellent communication skills for collaborating with educators, support staff, and families

What You'll Do:

  • Provide occupational therapy services to high school students, encouraging growth in academic and functional skills
  • Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans as part of the IEP process
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to review progress and adjust plans as needed for each student
  • Travel between two local school sites to provide services where needed
  • Maintain thorough, organized documentation in compliance with school and state guidelines
  • Offer recommendations for classroom modifications and adaptive equipment to enhance learning for students with varying needs
