Qualifications and Experience:
- Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Valid state Occupational Therapist license (or eligibility)
- Previous experience in schools or pediatric settings strongly preferred
- Familiarity with IEP processes and documentation requirements
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with staff, students, and families
- Ability to tailor interventions to diverse student needs and learning levels
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide direct therapy services to students in accordance with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Conduct evaluations, develop treatment plans, and document student progress
- Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to support student accommodations and success
- Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary teams as needed
- Promote development of fine motor, sensory processing, and adaptive skills for school participation
- Offer strategies and resources to assist classroom staff and families
