Occupational Therapist School Setting in Walterboro, SC

Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students from PreK through 12th grade as a dedicated Occupational Therapist. This hands-on position offers the chance to make a lasting difference in a school setting, servicing a diverse caseload and utilizing a variety of skills. With a schedule of 37.5 hours per week, you will collaborate with educators, families, and other professionals to help students succeed both inside and outside the classroom.

Qualifications:

• Valid Occupational Therapist license
• Experience in schools, home health, healthcare, or teletherapy environments
• Strong communication skills for working with students, families, and school staff
• Ability to serve PreK–12th grade students, adapting therapy plans to meet a range of needs

Responsibilities:

• Assess and evaluate students to determine occupational therapy needs and develop individualized plans
• Deliver direct therapy and consultative services within classroom, small group, and possibly virtual settings
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other therapists to support student goals
• Document therapy sessions, progress, and collaborate on Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Provide recommendations for classroom adaptations and assistive devices to promote student participation
• Maintain compliance with regulatory and ethical standards throughout service delivery

This contract assignment starts as soon as possible and continues through the end of the school year. You’ll work alongside another OT, ensuring students get the attentive, individualized care they deserve.
