An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Occupational Therapist seeking a short-term assignment in a unique educational setting. This contract position involves providing compensatory services directly onsite to a former student. The assignment is designed for a total of 8 hours (not weekly), with scheduling flexibility to complete the services in a manner that best supports the student and fits your availability.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid Occupational Therapy licensure in Massachusetts
• Experience delivering OT services within school environments
• Background in home health or community-based OT is a plus
• Understanding of compensatory education services and student support plans
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and with discretion in sensitive situations

Role Responsibilities:

• Deliver compensatory occupational therapy sessions onsite as outlined by the provided service plan
• Assess the student’s functional needs to determine appropriate interventions
• Implement OT strategies that promote independence and address the student’s goals
• Maintain clear documentation of services provided and communicate effectively with coordinators
• Adhere to all relevant ethical guidelines and privacy practices, particularly in complex family and district circumstances
• Work cooperatively with families and staff to ensure seamless service delivery despite nontraditional caseload status
