Step into an exciting contract opportunity supporting students as an Occupational Therapist in a school-based setting near Ware Shoals, SC. Begin your assignment in November, starting with three days per week and transitioning to a four-day schedule in January. This role offers a unique blend of direct student engagement and professional collaboration, operating within an itinerant service model and providing guidance to a talented Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA).

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Current Occupational Therapist license for South Carolina (or eligibility by assignment start)
  • Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
  • Previous experience in a school setting is highly valued
  • Knowledge of IEP (Individualized Education Program) process and documentation
  • Comfortable traveling between multiple school locations as needed
  • Experience supervising or mentoring COTAs is a plus
  • Strong communication and organizational skills

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver occupational therapy services to students as outlined in their IEPs, both individually and in groups
  • Rotate between schools following an itinerant service delivery model, providing flexible support where needed most
  • Assess, develop, and implement student treatment plans to foster academic participation and skill development
  • Collaborate with educators, special education staff, and families to enhance student outcomes
  • Supervise a dedicated COTA, ensuring compliance with treatment plans and quality standards
  • Maintain accurate records, progress notes, and documentation in line with school and district policies
