Step into an impactful role supporting students’ growth and development as a school-based Occupational Therapist or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant. This rewarding, full-time contract assignment begins in January and spans 6-8 weeks, giving you the opportunity to make a difference for approximately 50 students across a single K-12 campus near Warren, MI.

Your expertise in school occupational therapy will guide students in developing essential skills that promote their participation and success in academic and daily activities. You’ll collaborate closely with educators and families, helping to ensure each student receives the personalized support they need in an engaging and respectful setting.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
  • Experience providing occupational therapy in school settings highly preferred
  • Prepared to manage a variety of caseload needs across K-12 students
  • Strong communication skills and ability to actively collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
  • Proficient in developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct therapy services and consultative support to students, teachers, and families
  • Conduct evaluations, develop treatment plans, and track progress for each student
  • Adapt interventions to meet diverse age groups and developmental needs, from kindergarten through high school
  • Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with school district and regulatory standards
  • Participate in IEP meetings and offer insights that shape individualized learning strategies
