Step into an impactful, part-time opportunity providing occupational therapy services in an educational setting! This contract position allows you to utilize your expertise in both school-based and healthcare occupational therapy, supporting students from August 24, 2026, through June 16, 2027. Serving approximately 6.5 hours per week, you'll enjoy a consistent schedule between 8:30am and 3:30pm with an unpaid 30-minute lunch break.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Valid Occupational Therapist (OT) license in Michigan (or eligibility to obtain)
  • Prior experience delivering OT services within school environments
  • Familiarity working in healthcare or home health settings is a plus
  • Strong communication and organizational abilities
  • Passion for fostering student independence and engagement
  • Comfortable collaborating with educators, families, and interdisciplinary teams

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments to identify students’ strengths and areas for growth
  • Develop and implement individualized therapy plans to support IEP and 504 goals
  • Deliver direct and consultative OT services within the classroom or designated spaces
  • Monitor progress, document sessions, and adjust interventions as needed
  • Coordinate with special education staff, teachers, and caregivers
  • Participate in IEP meetings, contributing OT insights and recommendations
  • Stay current on best practices in pediatric and school-based OT
