Occupational Therapist School Setting in Warren, MI

In this contract role, you’ll provide occupational therapy services one day a week, with the option to expand your hours by pairing this position with a nearby charter school. Your expertise will support students’ functional skills, enabling them to better access curriculum and participate fully in school life.

Key Qualifications & Experience:

• Master’s degree or higher in Occupational Therapy
• Current Michigan OT license and registration
• Previous experience as a school-based OT or with pediatric populations preferred
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to develop, implement, and document therapy goals and IEP objectives
• Comfortable working independently and adapting to different school environments

Primary Responsibilities:

• Conduct assessments and evaluations to identify students’ unique needs
• Develop and implement individualized intervention plans in collaboration with IEP teams
• Deliver direct and consultative OT services to support students’ educational outcomes
• Work closely with teachers, special educators, and families to ensure cohesive support
• Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with state and federal guidelines
• Participate in team meetings, providing professional insights regarding student progress
