School Occupational Therapist | Warren, Michigan

Key Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in occupational therapy required
• Valid license to practice as an Occupational Therapist
• Prior experience in a school-based OT role is highly desirable
• Must be comfortable working onsite across multiple school locations
• COTA candidates are not eligible, as supervision cannot be provided
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills when collaborating with educators, students, and families

Core Responsibilities:

• Provide direct OT services to students identified with needs, designing individualized intervention plans
• Collaborate with teachers and school staff to integrate OT strategies into classroom routines
• Participate in student evaluations, write detailed progress reports, and contribute to IEP meetings
• Educate families and school personnel on strategies to support student development
• Maintain accurate, confidential documentation according to school and legal standards

This contract role spans the academic calendar through June 2027 with a weekly commitment of 32.5 hours, allowing you to build consistent, meaningful relationships with students and staff.
