Qualifications and Experience:

  • Active Occupational Therapy license
  • Previous experience working in school-based or pediatric settings highly preferred
  • Familiarity with IEPs, 504 plans, and therapeutic interventions for children and adolescents
  • Ability to work independently across varied environments, including schools and home health visits
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Dedication to evidence-based therapy practices and continuous professional development

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments to identify students’ strengths and areas for improvement
  • Develop and implement individualized therapy plans focusing on fine motor skills, sensory processing, self-care, and functional performance
  • Collaborate with teachers, classroom staff, and families to integrate therapeutic strategies into daily routines and lesson plans
  • Document interventions, progress notes, and maintain compliance with school and state guidelines
  • Participate in IEP meetings, team conferences, and professional development activities
  • Travel as needed between school settings and students’ homes to deliver therapy services
