Qualifications and Experience:
- Active Occupational Therapy license
- Previous experience working in school-based or pediatric settings highly preferred
- Familiarity with IEPs, 504 plans, and therapeutic interventions for children and adolescents
- Ability to work independently across varied environments, including schools and home health visits
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Dedication to evidence-based therapy practices and continuous professional development
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments to identify students’ strengths and areas for improvement
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans focusing on fine motor skills, sensory processing, self-care, and functional performance
- Collaborate with teachers, classroom staff, and families to integrate therapeutic strategies into daily routines and lesson plans
- Document interventions, progress notes, and maintain compliance with school and state guidelines
- Participate in IEP meetings, team conferences, and professional development activities
- Travel as needed between school settings and students’ homes to deliver therapy services
