Positioned close to Warwick, RI, this contract opportunity lets you bring your clinical expertise to educational settings, fostering development and independence in students with diverse needs.

Ideal candidates will possess:

  • Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist
  • Previous experience in school settings, home health, or healthcare environments
  • Strong ability to adapt interventions to support students in both individual and group sessions
  • Excellent communication skills for collaborating with educators, support teams, and families
  • A commitment to fostering student growth and advocating for accessible learning opportunities
  • Proficiency in developing and implementing IEP-related therapy goals
  • Ability to travel between sites as required

Key responsibilities include:

  • Evaluating students’ motor, sensory, and functional abilities to create tailored therapy plans
  • Delivering direct occupational therapy services in accordance with students’ IEPs
  • Consulting with teachers and staff on classroom strategies to support occupational development
  • Maintaining detailed records and contributing to team meetings for student progress updates
  • Educating families and caregivers on strategies to encourage skill development at home
  • Adjusting therapy approaches to align with academic schedules and school policies
  • Supporting transitions for students across educational settings or grade levels
