Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Valid state OT licensure (or eligibility)
- Previous experience in a school setting strongly preferred
- Familiarity with individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills
- Ability to collaborate with teachers, school staff, and families
Responsibilities:
- Conduct evaluations and develop treatment plans for students with diverse needs
- Provide direct and consultative occupational therapy services as indicated by IEPs
- Create and implement therapy activities that integrate into students’ daily routines
- Document progress and update treatment plans accordingly
- Participate in IEP meetings, sharing insights and recommendations
- Offer training and guidance for teachers and staff on supporting students’ motor skills and adaptive functioning
- Maintain clear, confidential records in compliance with school and legal requirements
