Key Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
  • Valid state OT licensure (or eligibility)
  • Previous experience in a school setting strongly preferred
  • Familiarity with individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills
  • Ability to collaborate with teachers, school staff, and families

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct evaluations and develop treatment plans for students with diverse needs
  • Provide direct and consultative occupational therapy services as indicated by IEPs
  • Create and implement therapy activities that integrate into students’ daily routines
  • Document progress and update treatment plans accordingly
  • Participate in IEP meetings, sharing insights and recommendations
  • Offer training and guidance for teachers and staff on supporting students’ motor skills and adaptive functioning
  • Maintain clear, confidential records in compliance with school and legal requirements
