Key Qualifications & Experience:
- Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Valid OT license in Illinois
- School-based or pediatric experience preferred
- Familiarity with Head Start, Early Head Start, and early childhood developmental milestones
- Ability to collaborate effectively in a team and communicate with diverse families
- Understanding of IEP development and participation in multidisciplinary meetings
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy services to children ages birth to five within a Head Start/Early Head Start program
- Work collaboratively with the district team during IEP development and implementation
- Provide onsite support to families and assist home visitors working with children who have ISFPs/IEPs
- Foster parent engagement and provide coaching to support families’ roles as primary caregivers and educators
- Serve at three locations, with a central home base for planning and support
- Document services and progress in accordance with program guidelines and state regulations
