School Occupational Therapist | Washington, Illinois

This contract position spans the full school year and offers flexibility in scheduling, allowing you to select the two days per week that best fit your needs. You will work across multiple sites, including a designated home base, in a collaborative, supportive environment.

Key Qualifications & Experience:

• Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
• Valid OT license in Illinois
• School-based or pediatric experience preferred
• Familiarity with Head Start, Early Head Start, and early childhood developmental milestones
• Ability to collaborate effectively in a team and communicate with diverse families
• Understanding of IEP development and participation in multidisciplinary meetings

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver occupational therapy services to children ages birth to five within a Head Start/Early Head Start program
• Work collaboratively with the district team during IEP development and implementation
• Provide onsite support to families and assist home visitors working with children who have ISFPs/IEPs
• Foster parent engagement and provide coaching to support families’ roles as primary caregivers and educators
• Serve at three locations, with a central home base for planning and support
• Document services and progress in accordance with program guidelines and state regulations
