As a 1.0 FTE role, your expertise in school-based occupational therapy will play a crucial part in fostering student development, independence, and participation in educational activities.
Preferred Skills & Experience:
- Valid Occupational Therapist license (or eligibility) for the state
- Previous school-based OT experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of pediatric conditions and evidence-based interventions
- Ability to develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Collaborative mindset to work with teachers, families, and interdisciplinary teams
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Organizational skills for managing a full-time caseload
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct occupational therapy services to students as outlined in IEPs
- Perform assessments, develop goals, and monitor student progress
- Create and implement tailored intervention strategies for diverse needs
- Consult and collaborate with educational staff and parents to ensure holistic support
- Conduct periodic re-evaluations and document data to track outcomes
- Foster an inclusive and encouraging environment that promotes student growth
