Occupational Therapist School Setting in Wasilla, AK

You’ll work closely with a diverse student population in-person, contributing your expertise to help learners reach their fullest potential. Key Qualifications:

• Hold current Occupational Therapist licensure valid in Alaska
• Possess or be eligible for TYPE C Certification (required)
• AK-Certification strongly preferred for this assignment
• Experience working in a school-based setting or with youth is highly desirable
• Effective communication skills for collaborating with teachers, students, and families
• Ability to manage a caseload and balance direct services with documentation requirements
• Commitment to onsite, in-person service delivery

Core Responsibilities:

• Provide individualized and group occupational therapy services to address student needs
• Conduct assessments and develop treatment plans tailored to support students' IEP goals
• Deliver approximately 1000 minutes of direct therapy per week (around 16 hours student contact)
• Document and monitor student progress, maintaining accurate records
• Collaborate with faculty and relevant school staff to integrate OT strategies into academic and social activities
• Participate in IEP meetings and planning sessions as required
• Serve as a resource to staff and parents, offering guidance and training as needed
