Occupational Therapist School Setting in Wasilla, AK

Step into a rewarding role providing essential occupational therapy services within a dynamic school setting near Wasilla, AK. Your expertise will directly support students’ growth and independence. Each week, you’ll dedicate approximately 1000 minutes (about 16 hours) of student contact time, impacting young learners’ educational and developmental journeys. The position requires in-person presence; remote or virtual options are not being considered at this time.

Key Qualifications and Experience:

• Active Alaska OT licensure
• TYPE C Certification (required)
• Preference for candidates with AK certification in school-based occupational therapy
• Background in OT practice, preferably in educational environments
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Commitment to onsite student interaction and individualized care

Your Role Will Include:

• Delivering direct occupational therapy services to students in collaboration with educational teams
• Conducting assessments and developing treatment plans responsive to each student’s needs
• Documenting progress and maintaining compliance with state and school district regulations
• Consulting with teachers, staff, and families to support student success
• Adjusting interventions based on assessment outcomes and team input
