Key Qualifications:

  • Current Occupational Therapist license for Alaska required
  • TYPE C Certification is mandatory
  • Previous experience in school-based OT preferred, but strong candidates with other pediatric backgrounds are welcome
  • AK certification or eligibility is highly advantageous
  • Ability to commit to in-person services only (remote work not available)
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative spirit
  • Skilled at organizing, documenting, and prioritizing varied caseloads

Position Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct OT services to students, focusing on approximately 1000 minutes of student contact time per week
  • Conduct assessments and develop individualized plans to help students access their education and reach their physical and developmental goals
  • Collaborate closely with teachers, administrators, and support staff to implement effective interventions
  • Document progress and maintain thorough, up-to-date records in accordance with school protocols
  • Participate in IEP meetings, offering your expert perspective to create student-centered plans

This is a full-time position, offering approximately 37.5 hours each week during the upcoming school year through May 2027. Work with a diverse caseload, expand your skills, and help shape bright futures for students.
