This full-time contract position focuses on a PreK caseload of children ages 3-5, where you'll collaborate with educators and families to help children develop skills for success in the classroom and beyond. Desired Qualifications:
- Current, valid OT license in California
- Prior experience in a school-based or pediatric setting, preferably with early childhood (3-5)
- Strong skills in individualized assessment, intervention planning, and documentation
- Ability to foster positive relationships with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Effective communicator, both written and verbal
- Passion for empowering young children through evidence-based occupational therapy practices
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and develop personalized intervention plans for PreK students
- Collaborate closely with teachers and support staff to integrate OT strategies into daily classroom routines
- Deliver direct and consultative therapy, adjusting as needed to support student growth
- Engage with families to provide strategies and resources for continued development at home
- Maintain thorough documentation and progress monitoring in compliance with district and state standards
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to team-driven decision making
