Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Current state OT license (or eligibility to obtain prior to the assignment start date)
- Experience or familiarity with school-based occupational therapy services
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams
- Ability to create engaging, individualized treatment plans for students with diverse abilities
- Commitment to upholding confidentiality and ethical standards in a school setting
Responsibilities:
- Assess students’ needs and design targeted therapy interventions to support academic and functional success
- Collaborate with educators, administrators, and families to integrate strategies within the classroom and school environment
- Document progress, maintain up-to-date records, and contribute to IEP meetings when appropriate
- Provide direct therapy sessions, consultations, and in-services as needed
- Empower students of all ages to build independence, self-confidence, and essential life skills
