Step into an engaging role supporting early intervention and elementary-aged students in a dynamic school environment. This contract position offers the unique opportunity to work with a diverse caseload of 25 students, making a meaningful impact every day. Based near Buffalo Grove, you will provide vital occupational therapy services from August 12, 2026, through November 3, 2026.
Your week will consist of 37.5 hours, with daily hours from 8:00 am to 3:30 pm, allowing for a consistent, dependable schedule. As a valued member of the school community, you'll collaborate with educators and other support staff, ensuring each student receives the tailored services they need to thrive.
Qualifications and Experience:
• Valid Occupational Therapy license in Illinois
• Previous experience working in school-based settings
• Knowledge of both early intervention and elementary modalities
• Strong communication and organizational abilities
• Commitment to collaborative work and student-centered practice
• Ability to create individualized treatment plans and document progress
• Experience supporting students with a range of developmental and educational needs
Key Responsibilities:
• Assess students to identify functional and academic needs
• Develop and implement individualized therapy strategies
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals
• Document ongoing progress and maintain accurate records
• Provide direct and consultative services within the school setting
• Participate in student evaluations and eligibility meetings
