Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Occupational Therapy license in Illinois
- Experience in school-based OT or pediatric OT strongly preferred
- Ability to perform thorough OT evaluations and interpret results within an educational context
- Strong interpersonal skills for collaboration with parents, educators, and multidisciplinary teams
- Clear communication skills for preparing written reports and presenting findings
- Organized and self-motivated, able to manage time efficiently for onsite work
Responsibilities:
- Conduct detailed onsite OT evaluations as requested by parents or school personnel
- Utilize standardized assessment tools to evaluate students’ functional performance and needs
- Collaborate closely with teachers, parents, and school staff to gather information relevant to each student’s educational performance
- Develop clear, data-driven recommendations for supports, accommodations, or further interventions
- Prepare concise, comprehensive reports that clearly outline evaluation results and next steps
- Attend and participate in team meetings to discuss findings and consult on intervention planning
