School Occupational Therapist - Waukegan, Illinois

Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid Occupational Therapy license in Illinois
• Experience in school-based OT or pediatric OT strongly preferred
• Ability to perform thorough OT evaluations and interpret results within an educational context
• Strong interpersonal skills for collaboration with parents, educators, and multidisciplinary teams
• Clear communication skills for preparing written reports and presenting findings
• Organized and self-motivated, able to manage time efficiently for onsite work

Responsibilities:

• Conduct detailed onsite OT evaluations as requested by parents or school personnel
• Utilize standardized assessment tools to evaluate students’ functional performance and needs
• Collaborate closely with teachers, parents, and school staff to gather information relevant to each student’s educational performance
• Develop clear, data-driven recommendations for supports, accommodations, or further interventions
• Prepare concise, comprehensive reports that clearly outline evaluation results and next steps
• Attend and participate in team meetings to discuss findings and consult on intervention planning
