Fine Motor Skills Occupational Therapist School Setting in Waynesville, NC

This role focuses on bringing specialized Occupational Therapy services to a diverse student population and offers the chance to deliver care in a variety of settings—including on-site, home health, and teletherapy.

Desired Background and Qualifications:

• Valid Occupational Therapy license in North Carolina or eligibility to obtain
• Previous experience in one or more of the following: school-based OT, home health OT, pediatric OT, or teletherapy
• Proficiency in evaluating and fostering fine motor skills
• Ability to develop and implement individualized intervention plans within a school environment
• Strong collaboration, communication, and documentation skills
• Comfort working independently as well as within a multidisciplinary team

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct occupational therapy services to approximately 20 students with diverse needs
• Conduct assessments, develop IEP goals, and document measurable progress
• Support students in building functional and educational fine motor skills, adapting strategies as needed
• Work collaboratively with teachers, families, and educational staff to maximize student success
• Deliver services through multiple modalities, including on-site, home visits, or teletherapy to meet individual needs
• Maintain compliance with IDEA, Section 504, and district policies
