Step into a rewarding role making a difference in young students' lives as an Occupational Therapist at an elementary school. This contract opportunity offers long-term sub coverage with the exciting potential for permanent placement. You’ll work with students in kindergarten through fifth grade, supporting their growth, development, and educational success alongside dedicated school staff.

You’ll provide direct therapy services, collaborating closely with teachers and families to help each child reach their full potential. The district is actively seeking a permanent OT and values long-term subs who are also interested in exploring a permanent position.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Current and active New York State Occupational Therapy license required
  • Prior experience in pediatric, school-based, or similar settings strongly preferred
  • Ability to adapt to various student needs across grades K-5
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Organized, reliable, and able to manage a caseload in a school environment

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver occupational therapy services to elementary-aged students individually and in small groups
  • Complete required documentation, progress notes, and maintain updated student records
  • Work collaboratively with classroom teachers, related service providers, and families to develop and implement therapy strategies
  • Participate in team meetings, including IEP development and progress reviews
  • Provide recommendations and accommodations to support student participation and classroom success
  • Maintain a positive, supportive environment that encourages student accomplishments

This assignment is anticipated to last 30-45 days, with the possibility for extension depending on hiring needs. Candidates open to permanent placement are encouraged to apply.
