Key Qualifications:
- Active South Carolina Occupational Therapist (OT) license required
- Experience in a school-based setting is strongly preferred
- Solid understanding of pediatric occupational therapy best practices
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to assess, develop, and implement effective therapy plans for diverse student needs
- Comfortable working both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized and group occupational therapy services in accordance with IEPs
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify students’ functional abilities and needs
- Develop and implement targeted interventions to improve fine motor, sensory, and daily living skills
- Document student progress, maintain accurate therapy records, and collaborate on IEP meetings
- Educate and coach teachers, support staff, and families to promote student success in the classroom
- Participate in school-based initiatives to foster a positive and inclusive learning environment
