Job Type Contract

Make an impact from day one in a dynamic school-based occupational therapy role supporting students district-wide, from Pre-K through 12th grade. This contract opportunity calls for an Occupational Therapist (OT), though highly qualified Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTA) with Connecticut licensure are equally welcome to apply. You’ll step in for a valued OT on maternity leave, with the initial term covering approximately 12 weeks—there’s a strong chance for extension, but the contract will only reflect the leave period to start. This assignment is perfect for clinicians who are comfortable and enthusiastic about a defined temporary role with the potential for more.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Active Connecticut OT license, or COTA certification (CT DPH license and NBCOT Exam required for COTAs)
  • Reliable transportation for district-wide travel to support multiple campuses
  • Preferred: Previous experience working in a school-based setting
  • Ability to work full-time, 7–7.5 hours per day (final schedule pending confirmation)
  • Readiness to support students with diverse abilities and needs

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver occupational therapy services to students Pre-K through 12th grade
  • Collaborate with educators, related service providers, and families to develop and implement individualized treatment plans
  • Accurately document student progress and monitor outcomes
  • For COTAs: work under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist as required by Connecticut guidelines
  • Flexibly adapt to evolving schedules and caseloads across the district

Bring your passion for student-centered care to a supportive and collaborative educational environment. If you’re ready to step into a crucial role with meaningful, immediate impact and the possibility of extension, take the next step in your school-based OT or COTA career.
