Key Qualifications:
- Current Occupational Therapist license (or eligibility) as required by Utah
- Previous experience in a school setting or with pediatric populations preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, families, and school staff
- Knowledge of IEP processes and therapeutic interventions tailored to diverse student needs
- Commitment to fostering independence and academic success for students
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and develop individualized treatment plans to enhance students’ functional skills
- Deliver direct and consultative OT services to address sensory, motor, and adaptive needs
- Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate closely with teachers, families, and other specialists
- Document progress, maintain timely and accurate records, and comply with state and federal guidelines
- Adapt interventions and recommend strategies or equipment to promote classroom participation
- Support professional development and engage in ongoing learning opportunities
