Occupational Therapist School Setting in West Jordan, UT

Key Qualifications:

• Current Occupational Therapist license (or eligibility) as required by Utah
• Previous experience in a school setting or with pediatric populations preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
• Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, families, and school staff
• Knowledge of IEP processes and therapeutic interventions tailored to diverse student needs
• Commitment to fostering independence and academic success for students

Primary Responsibilities:

• Conduct assessments and develop individualized treatment plans to enhance students’ functional skills
• Deliver direct and consultative OT services to address sensory, motor, and adaptive needs
• Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate closely with teachers, families, and other specialists
• Document progress, maintain timely and accurate records, and comply with state and federal guidelines
• Adapt interventions and recommend strategies or equipment to promote classroom participation
• Support professional development and engage in ongoing learning opportunities
