School Occupational Therapist | West Valley City, Utah

Qualifications & Skills:

• Valid Occupational Therapy license in the state of Utah (or ability to obtain prior to start date)
• Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
• Experience working with pediatric or school-based populations preferred
• Strong communication, collaboration, and time-management abilities
• Knowledge of assessment tools, IEP process, and documentation requirements
• Ability to adapt intervention strategies to meet diverse student needs

Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct and indirect occupational therapy services for students, as outlined in Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify students’ needs and develop measurable goals
• Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to promote student participation and independence
• Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of interventions, progress, and outcomes
• Provide consultation and training to school personnel regarding sensory, motor, and adaptive skills
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute expert recommendations for each student’s plan
