Qualifications & Skills:
- Valid Occupational Therapy license in the state of Utah (or ability to obtain prior to start date)
- Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Experience working with pediatric or school-based populations preferred
- Strong communication, collaboration, and time-management abilities
- Knowledge of assessment tools, IEP process, and documentation requirements
- Ability to adapt intervention strategies to meet diverse student needs
Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and indirect occupational therapy services for students, as outlined in Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify students’ needs and develop measurable goals
- Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to promote student participation and independence
- Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of interventions, progress, and outcomes
- Provide consultation and training to school personnel regarding sensory, motor, and adaptive skills
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute expert recommendations for each student’s plan
