Desired Qualifications:
- Licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) or experienced, seasoned COTA considered
- Previous experience in school-based or pediatric therapy settings
- Familiarity working with K-12 populations, with emphasis on early childhood/preK
- Proficiency in supporting students who use AAC devices and those with ASD
- Strong communication, documentation, and collaboration skills
- Ability to adapt and innovate therapy approaches within dynamic educational environments
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct evaluations and provide both direct and consultative occupational therapy services
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in accordance with students’ IEP goals
- Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and parents to integrate therapy strategies across school environments
- Document and track student progress, maintaining compliance with state and federal guidelines
- Educate and advocate for best practices and assistive technology, focusing on inclusion and developmental growth
