Desired Experience & Qualifications:

  • Valid and current Occupational Therapist (OT) license for the state of Ohio
  • Previous experience in school-based OT settings strongly preferred
  • Background in home health and healthcare OT services considered an asset
  • Ability to effectively assess, plan, and deliver therapy to elementary through high school students
  • Strong communication skills for collaborating with teachers, families, and support staff
  • Organizational skills to document and track progress for caseload of 24 students
  • Commitment to fostering inclusive and supportive educational environments

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver occupational therapy services to assigned K-12 students in accordance with Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
  • Conduct targeted assessments, develop intervention plans, and regularly track student progress
  • Collaborate with classroom educators, specialists, and families to ensure optimum support
  • Balance quarterly service time (3,090 minutes) efficiently for impactful therapy sessions
  • Provide recommendations for classroom modifications and adaptive strategies
  • Engage actively in multidisciplinary team meetings as required
