Make a real impact working with students as an Occupational Therapist in a vibrant K-12 educational environment near Westerville, OH! This contract role provides the chance to support diverse learners and empower students to reach their potential with individualized care and creative interventions.
You’ll be responsible for servicing a caseload of 24 students, providing approximately 3,090 minutes per quarter, with a schedule capped at 20 hours per week. Each day, you’ll collaborate with educators, families, and other support staff—working together to ensure students achieve greater independence and enhanced participation in school activities.
Desired Qualifications and Experience:
- Current Occupational Therapy license or eligibility in the state of Ohio
- Professional experience in K-12 school settings, home health, or healthcare is preferred
- Understanding of IEPs, goal setting, and implementing therapy in a school context
- Strong communication and collaborative skills to partner with teachers, administrators, and parents
- Proficiency in evaluating students and devising tailored therapy plans
- Positive, flexible approach to supporting a variety of student needs
Core Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and develop effective, individualized intervention plans for students in grades K-12
- Deliver targeted occupational therapy services based on student IEPs and performance data
- Track and document student progress toward therapy goals, maintaining compliance with school and district protocols
- Provide consultative guidance and resources to school staff and families
- Contribute to IEP meetings and collaborate across multidisciplinary teams
- Manage caseload efficiently within allotted hours each week
