Occupational Therapist School Setting in Westfield, IN

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
• Valid state license (or eligibility for licensure) to practice as an Occupational Therapist
• Previous experience working in school settings preferred
• Strong knowledge of IEP processes and documentation requirements
• Exceptional communication and collaboration skills with students, staff, and families
• Ability to effectively manage caseloads and adapt to varying student needs

Core Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct and consultative occupational therapy services to students as outlined in their IEPs
• Assess students’ functional skills and interpret evaluation results in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
• Develop and implement intervention plans tailored to individual academic and developmental needs
• Maintain accurate and timely progress notes, reports, and other necessary documentation
• Provide training and resources to teachers and caregivers to support generalization of skills
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute expertise to team decisions
