Occupational Therapist School Setting in Westfield, IN

A rewarding opportunity awaits Occupational Therapists seeking a contract role in a vibrant educational setting near Westfield, IN. This position will provide coverage for a maternity leave from November 16th to February 12th, working on-site to support students’ developmental and functional goals.

As the dedicated OT, you will focus on direct, in-person interventions at a single campus. Your work will help foster meaningful progress for students, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team during school hours.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Valid Occupational Therapist license in the state
• Previous experience in a school or pediatric setting preferred
• Strong understanding of IEP documentation, goal setting, and progress monitoring
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for collaboration with staff, students, and families
• Commitment to 40 hours per week for the assignment duration

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver occupational therapy services in accordance with students’ IEPs
• Assess students’ skills and develop creative strategies to improve participation in educational activities
• Collaborate with teachers and support staff to adapt classroom environments
• Monitor, record, and report student progress to the multidisciplinary team and families
• Participate in meetings relevant to OT planning and student support
• Maintain compliant documentation and adhere to school policies
