Desired Experience & Qualifications:

  • Valid state licensure or certification in Occupational Therapy or as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
  • Previous experience working within school or pediatric settings is strongly preferred
  • Proficiency in evaluating and supporting both fine and gross motor skill development
  • Ability to develop and implement individualized therapy plans with measurable goals
  • Collaborative mindset for working with teachers, parents, and other support staff
  • Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills
  • Comfortable adapting strategies for diverse student populations

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify student needs related to fine and gross motor skill development
  • Provide consistent, evidence-based therapy sessions in group and one-on-one formats
  • Document progress and prepare reports tailored to student IEPs and school requirements
  • Collaborate with educators, administrative staff, and families to support student achievement
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute insight and recommendations for continued growth
  • Adapt equipment, environments, and activities to increase student independence and participation in the classroom
  • Stay current with best practices and continuing education in occupational therapy for school settings
